Access Dolakha Inauguration Ceremony, 2022

Access Dolakha Inauguration Ceremony was held on March 16, 2022 at Hotel Ambrosia, Charikot with the presence of the chief guest, Dr. Nabila Massoumi, Regional English Language Officer, U.S. Department of State, and other distinguished guests, Ms. Bimala Gautam, Acting Chair of NELTA Dolakha, Mr. Bharat Bahadur K.C., Mayor of Bhimeshwor Municipality, Ms. Motikala Subba Dewan, NELTA President, Mr. Bishwa Raj Gautam, RELO Program Specialist, U.S. Embassy Kathmandu, Nepal, Mr. Balkrishna Dahal, Secretary of NELTA Dolakha and Local Coordinator of the Dolakha Access. There was a valuable of presence of the guests, Mr. Ganesh Kumar Shrestha, Vice Principal of Kalinchwok Secondary School (Host School), Mr. Govinda Narayan Manandhar, Principal of Pashupati Kanya Secondary School (Feeder School), Mr. Narayan Budathoki, Advisor to NELTA Dolakha, Mr. Baburam Sharma, Reporter from Gorkhapatra Daily, Mr. Surya Chaulagain, Assistant Secretary, NELTA Dolakha, Mr. Shyam Kumar Mainali, Treasurer, NELTA Dolakha, Mr. Sudip Karki, Member of NELTA Dolakha, Mr. Ishwor Chaulagain, Member of NELTA Dolakha and other executive members from NELTA Dolakha, Access Teachers, Mr. Ek Raj Shiwakoti, Ms. Ashmika Pradhan, Mr. Shambhu Prasad Bakhrel and Ms. Anjana Subedi and parents of the Access students. The program was chaired by Ms. Bimala Gautam, Acting Chair of NELTA Dolakha and anchored by Mr. Sudip Neupane, Access Program Coordinator.

            The Access Teachers, Ms. Anjana Subedi and Ms. Ashmika Pradhan welcomed the chief guest, distinguished guests and special guests with Khada. Rohan Karki, Access Student delivered his welcome speech which was followed by the inauguration of the program by lighting the panas lamp by the chief guest and other distinguished guests and singing the national anthem of Nepal. On behalf of the Access Students, Bipana Nepali and Dhiraj Kumar Das shared their experience as Access students. Furthermore, they shared their boundless happiness and thanked to NELTA and U.S. Embassy for providing such opportunities to the students who are from public schools. On behalf of the Access Teachers, Mr. Shambhu Prasad Bakhrel expressed that they were doing hard work for their students to enhance their language skills, leadership skills, computer skills and cultural understandings.

            Ms. Sabitri Ghimire, parent of the Access Student shared that this program really helped students learn English through mobile devices which were handed over to them for their virtual class. She further expressed that such opportunities were remarkable contributions to the parents who are sending their children into public schools rather than private ones. Likewise, Mr. Ganesh Kumar Shrestha, Vice Principal of Kalinchowk Secondary School and Mr. Narayan Budhathoki, Advisor to NELTA Dolakha stated that NELTA Dolakha had been working a lot in the field of education. Mr. Bishwa Raj Gautam, RELO Program Specialist gave suggestions to the students by asking them to be the best in their own whatever they do. He further requested students to be bright in the future as they are a part of the Access. Similarly, Mr. Bharat Bahadur K.C., Mayor of Bhimeshwor Municipality stated that the Access Program helped to bridge the gap between public and private schools.

Ms. Motikala Subba Dewan, NELTA President delivering her short remarks

            Ms. Motikala Subba Dewan, NELTA President thanked Regional English Language Office, U.S. Embassy Kathmandu for supporting NELTA form 2011 through the Access Program and other numerous programs to enhance education in Nepal. She further praised NELTA Dolakha and Bhimishwor Municipality for their joining hands to implement this program. Likewise, the chief guest of the program requested the Access Teachers to support their students from their core hearts and thanked to Access Team for the effective implementation of the program.

Dolakha Access Completes Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony of Dolakha Access is organized today i.e. August 23, 2022, in a blended mode. The program was chaired by Balkrishna Dahal, Secretary of NELTA Dolakha and Focal Person of the Access where Dr. Nabila Massoumi, RELO, the U.S. Department of State joined as the chief guest virtually. Dr. Nabila Massoumi, RELO, Ishwori Bahadur Adhikari, NELTA General Secretary, Bishwa Raj Gautam, RELO Program Specialist, Bikas Rimal, National Program Coordinator of NELTA joined virtually whereas government officials, Access Students and their parents, Access Teachers, principals from the host and feeder school, NELTA executive members of Dolakha branch and journalist joined the program in-person at Hotel Ambrosia, Charikot. The program was anchored by Sudip Neupane, Access Program Coordinator and Ek Raj Shiwakoti, Access Teacher respectively.

The gusts include all the respected parents of the Access Students, and 4 Access Teachers (Shambhu Prasad Bakhrel, Ashmika Pradhan, Ek Raj Shiwakoti, and Anjana Subedi).

40 Access Students joined the program as participants. 40 Access Students, 4 Access Teachers and a Focal Person were awarded with the Certificate of Achievement.
