Happy Halloween

Makawanpur Access students celebrated Halloween on October 31, 2015 by doing different activities. The students were shown different videos related to Halloween celebrations in the previous classes and informed about how Holloween is celebrated in the USA. On this day, the students made the Jack O’ Lantern and scary masks by themselves. Some of the students pretended as the owner of the houses and others as the children. The students presented the demo of Halloween celebrations by knocking the doors, wearing scary masks saying ‘Trick or Treat’ and distributing chocolates and coins. They also enjoyed playing “Apple Bobbing”. After doing all these things, they compared the way of celebrating Halloween and Nepali festival ‘Gaijatra’ and practically learned the similarities and differences between US and Nepalese culture.
