Dashain Tihar Greetings and Celebrations

Students of both groups of Access Kapilvastu participated in ‘ Dashain and Tihar greetings and wishes sharing program On October 2 2019. Students showed cultural dances, sang songs, exchanged wishes and greetings through speech and greeting cards. They also watched videos related to the history and customs of Dashain and Tihar festival. The teachers also extended their best wishes to the students for their happiness, prosperity and bright future. The activity lasted for two hours.

Meeting Differently Able Students

Kapilvastu Access organized a program inviting the differently able students studying at Banganga Higher Secondary School and their guardians on June 22, 2019. Access students interacted with the differently able students and their guardians; they talked about their daily routines, likes and dislikes and challenges brought in their lives. Access students entertained all with songs, jokes and dance. At the end of the interaction, Access team served snacks of fruits and donated sports material such as carom board, ludo, volleyball etc. to the Head teacher of Banganga Secondary School Mr. Ram Prasad Bhandari to be used for the differently able group of students. Kapilvastu Access focal person Mr. Govinda Pokhrel and Access teachers Bishnu Belbase, Ganga Devi and Lekha Khanal were present on the occasion.

Quiz Contest in Access

Access Kapilvastu organized a quiz competition at the Kapilvastu Access Centre. All 40 students of both groups participated grouping 5 students in each group and making 8 groups. The questions were prepared from current affairs, history, music and movies and picture questions. All the questions were related to US and Nepal. All students took part enthusiastically and the winning team was awarded at last. The quiz has enhanced the level of knowledge of students on Nepal and the US relationship as well as general knowledge.

Kapilvastu Celebrates Maghi with Dance Competition

Kapilvastu Access celebrated ā€˜Maghiā€™ organizing a cultural dance competition on January 15, 2019 at Kapilvastu Access Centre. The participants wore cultural dresses and they performed their dance in local Tharu and Nepali folk songs.  The NELTA Kapilvastu secretary as well as the focal person of Kapilvastu Access Govinda Pokhrel chaired the program while NELTA Kapilvastu vice chair Nanu Maya Khanal was the chief Guest. The teachersā€™ duo, Laxmi Acharya and Ganga Devi judged the performances and teacher Kashi Ram Bhattarai hosted the program.

Kapilvastu Access in Community Service

Students from Kapilvastu Access participated in a sanitation campaign as a part of their first semester community campaign on December 29, 2018. All of the students from both group ‘A’ and group ‘B’ eagerly gathered and cleaned the surrounding of Banganga Secondary School , nearest Durga temple to Gajehada Bazar. They were well guided and helped by all four instructors.

Kapilvastu Access Inauguration

Kapilvastu Access was inaugurated on December 12, 2018 at a program organized in Banganga Municipality, Kapilvastu. The chief guest in the program was Mayor Banganga Municipality, Mangal Prasad Tharu; special guest RELO Program Specialist Bishwa Raj Gautam NELTA CC representative Loknath Upadhyaya , NELTA CC member Taranath Bhattarai, Access Coordinator Kunjarmani Gautam, DEO Baburam Bhattarai were present along with NELTA Kapilvastu life members, Access students, their parents and teachers. In the program, the 40 Access students and four Access teachers received their Access commencement certificates signed by US Ambassador to Nepal Randy W Berry.
