Welcome Session

Ms. Akanksha Jha and Ms. Nisha Yadav (Access Teachers) welcomed Dr. Nabila Massoumi, Regional English Language Officer (RELO), Chief guest, Mr. Madan Kumar Mandal, Chair of the program (Chair of NELTA Branch Siraha and Focal Person of the Siraha Access Center) and all the special guests with Khada.

Welcome Note

Ms. Laxmi Raut, Access Student delivered a welcome note. She expressed that the Access program is very helpful to the students who are interested to learn English. She further expressed that such opportunities will help them to be bright in the field of education.   

Inauguration Session

The Chief Guest inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and it was followed by the national anthem.

Short Remarks Session

Dr. Nabila Massoumi, RELO congratulated the Siraha Access Center and suggested the youths to lead the nation. She expressed her best wishes for the continuation of the In-Person Access. She said, “Your own protection shows the leadership and your contribution to your community through community services will change your society.” Similarly, Mr. Rakesh Roshan Gupta, Chair of Ward No. 7, Lahan Municipality stated that the program would be more effective if it covers 100 to 200 students from the same district. He suggested students to teach what they learn from the program to their families and communities. Likewise, Mr. Amiri Yadav, Education Chief of Lahan Municipality expressed that Siraha is quite back in terms of education and this kind of program would be beneficial to the students who are from poor financial status. On behalf of Access students, Mr. Mamtesh Yadav, Access Student thanked U.S. Embassy and NELTA for providing learning opportunities to them.  The program is supporting them to improve their writing, speaking and other skills of English. Likewise, Ms. Sandhya Chaudgary, Access Student stated that the Access program is supporting them to enhance their English language along with leadership skills.

Mr. Balaram Singh, teacher from the host school expresses his happiness to be the host school for the Access Siraha and congratulated all the Access students and the Access Team. He promised to support for the program with core heart. Similarly, Mr. Sanjay K. Yadav, Access teacher mentioned that all the Access teachers are doing their best to make a grand success of the Access. He further requested the students to make an effort from their sides and parents to assist their children for better education. Mr. Hanuman Yadav, a representative from parents expressed that he was happy to be a parent of the Access student and he shared that his child is improving his education after joining the Access Program.

Mr. Bishwa Raj Gautam, RELO Specialist expressed that the Siraha Access is the very first Access to inaugurate and suggested students to be good at their work. He said, “Students must be proactive and self-confident in their education and works.” He concluded his remarks after taking selfies with the Access students, teachers, RELO, and all. Students enjoyed a lot during the selfie time. Dr. Anil Kumar Jha, NELTA Central Committee Member stated that NELTA has been doing great works for students by getting support from the RELO. Dr. Dinesh Kumar Yadav, President of NELTA Province 2, shared how they run their previous Access Program at Janakpur and how the program supported the students to be better in their respective fields. Likewise, Mr. Arbind Das, Principal of Secondary School, Gadha congratulated all students and teachers and suggested them to apply their learnings in their schools, homes and societies and nation.

Vote of Thanks

Mr. Madan Kumar Mandal, Chair of the Program, concluded the program with the vote of thanks. He thanked to the chief guest, special guests, parents, teachers and students for their valuable presence. He expressed that his dream is to accomplish the Access Program with outstanding performance.

Graduation Ceremony of Siraha Access (August 21, 2022)

The Graduation Ceremony of Siraha Access has accomplished today in the formal program chaired by Mr. Madan Kumar Mandal, Chair of NELTA Siraha and Focal Person of Siraha Access. Dr. Nabila Massoumi, RELO, U.S. Department of State joined in this ceremony as a chief guest, and Mr. Bishwa Raj Gautam, RELO Program Specialist, the U.S. Embassy Kathmandu joined as a distinguished guest. Other distinguished guests include Mr. Avinash Gupta, Ward Member of Ward No. 7, Lahan Municipality, Mr. Amiri Yadav, Education Chief of Lahan Municipality, Mr. Dhirendra Kumar Chaudhary, Chairperson of School Management Committee of Pashupati Aadarsha Secondary School, Mr. Chandra Kishor Kalyan, Advisor of School Management Committee, Pashupati Aadarsha Seconary School, Dr. Anil Kumar Jha, NELTA Central Committee Member and Advisor to NELTA Siraha, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Yadav, President of NELTA Madhesh Province. There was presence of the Access Teachers (Ms. Akanksha Jha, Ms. Nisha Yadav, Mr. Binod Prasad Chaudhary and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Yadav), 40 Access Students and their parents. Mr. Sudip Neupane, Access Program Coordinator run the program as a master of ceremony.

Sandhya Chaudhary, Access Student delivered her welcome note highlighting how the Access Students got benefited from this program. The chief guest inaugurated the program by lighting the panas followed by singing the national anthem. Jyoti Kumari Das and Niraj Yadav shared their remarks on behalf of Access Students. They stated that this program helped them improve their language skills, digital skills, leadership skills and personality development. Mr. Binod Prasad Chaudhary delivered his short remarks on behalf of Access Teachers in which he shared that their dedication and hardwork helped them accomplish all activities of the Access. Mr. Manoj Yadav, Parents’ representative, Mr. Bidur Bhattarai, Mr. Avinash Gupta, Mr. Amiri Yadav, Mr. Bishwa Raj Gautam, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Yadav, Dr. Nabila Massoumi and Dr. Anil Kumar Jha delivered their short remarks in the graduation ceremony.

40 Access Students, 4 Access Teachers and a Focal Person were awarded with a Certificate of Achievement by the chief guest, Dr. Nabila Massoumi, RELO, U.S. Department of State and the distinguished guest, Mr. Avinash Gupta, Ward Member of Ward No. 7 of Lahan Municipality. After having group photos, the chair of the program, Mr. Madan Kuamr Mandal announced that the program was over followed by offering the sketches as a token of love (drawn by Akanksha Jha) by Siraha Access.
